This notice explains how & pause uses personal information collected through andpause.co.uk, including the launch mailing list and viewing analytics on privately shared pitch pages.

Mailing list

When you join the launch list, we collect your email address, the date and time you signed up, the consent wording shown to you, its version, and the source of the signup. We use this to send opening dates, launch updates and occasional news from & pause. Our basis for sending these emails is your consent.

Pitch-page analytics

If you visit a privately shared pitch or presentation page, we may record that the page was viewed and broad video-viewing milestones such as play, 25%, 50%, 75% and completion. We also record the timestamp, a broad device category and country code where available.

To help distinguish repeat views without retaining a list of visitors' raw IP addresses, the server can convert the requesting IP address into a salted one-way identifier. We do not store the raw IP address in the pitch analytics database and we do not use this data for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Where information is stored

Mailing-list and pitch analytics data are stored using Cloudflare infrastructure, including private D1 databases. Video files may be stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket and delivered through our website. These services process information on our behalf.

Future email providers

We may later use a specialist email service provider to manage and send our mailing list. If we do, only the information needed to provide that service will be shared under an appropriate processing arrangement.

How long we keep information

We keep mailing-list information while you remain subscribed and for only as long as needed for the purposes described above, subject to legal or record-keeping requirements. Pitch analytics are retained only for as long as they remain useful for evaluating the specific pitch or presentation.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw mailing-list consent at any time. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or raise a question about how your information is being used.
